Are you sick of wars, violence, poverty, corporate greed, inept governments, financial meltdown, inaction on climate change…

It’s time for a change. It’s time to create a world that works. And works for everyone, not just the people in control.

I no longer believe that governments, corporations or most of our charities are capable of creating a world that works.

I believe it’s up to you and it’s up to me.

And, that’s what spurned me to start collecting and sharing manifestos. Manifestos are declarations of intent. And this is my declaration to collect and share 1000 of them.

It’s time for change!

Now, if all I did was sprout out ‘Manifesto, Manifesto, Manifesto’, then my words would soon become very hollow and you’d probably not want to hear from me. So, when you make a declaration you need to follow it up with some substance. Your idea needs to live in some way.

Thus I’ve created a project, 1000 Manifestos. To fulfil on my quest I need to bring manifestos alive in the minds, thoughts and actions of some people.

The aim of the Manifesto Project is to collect and share 1000 manifestos to help create a world that works for more people. Along the way we want to inspire people to collect, create and share the examples they find and enjoy.

You can help by sharing your manifesto, pointing me to other manifestos or creating your own.

We’ll be posting all of the manifestos we can find. If we can post 1000 manifestos on the one site, then we can create the world’s best collection of manifestos. And, hopefully provoke enough people, to quote Steve Jobs, to make a dent in the universe.

If you want help creating a manifesto, I’ll be blogging about this over at my own blogsite, geoffmcdonald.com. Plus I’ll be adding resources to this site.

Your Invitation

I invite you to join us. You can create your own manifesto. You can share the manifestos of others. And, you can get inspired by some of the great things people around the world are causing. Let’s create a world that works!

What would a world that works look, sound and feel like to you? Have you written a manifesto about this? Perhaps you could…
